Show 6: Halloweekend Walk of Shame

Because it's that much funnier when she's in a costume.

Good evening everyone, hope you all are having a great Halloweekend so far. We had a great show this morning playing both our typical music along with some Halloween themed music. We banked on the girls who have a show after us not showing up for the third week in a row, but they did. So we had to cut our show two songs short. Good news is that those songs are going to be on here anyways, and they're the last two. Without further ado, here's the track list from today.

Haunted Mansion - Ditta & Dumont

Someone Like You (Milk N Cookies Remix) - Adele

Lessons in Love - Kaskade ft. Neon Trees

Take Me Home Tonight (Henry Blank Remix) - Topmodelz (Originally by Eddie Money)

Breakin a Sweat - Skrillex & The Doors

Let's Roll - Yelawolf ft. Kid Rock

Loosen Up - Outasight

Paradise (Fedde Le Grande Remix) - Coldplay

One I Know (Redial Remix) - Slow Down Honey

Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites - Skrillex

Life of the Party - The Weeknd

Ghostbusters (Don Rimini Ectoplasm Remix) - Ray Parker Jr.

Happy Violence (Caveat Remix) - Dada Life

The Shining (Original Halloween Mix) - Cazzette

Happy Halloween everyone. Have fun and be safe.

Battle of the White Girls (Plus One White Dude)

Neither of these two songs are going to make it onto the show, because quite frankly both are not very good. But, they're both so damn catchy. They have something that just makes them stick in your mind. Many of you will know the first one, but I'm guessing not as many will know the second. So who takes the cake?

Kreayshawn - Gucci Gucci

Iggy Azalea - Pu$$y

I think the videos are useful in making the final decision. I think Kreayshawn probably wins based on music cause her verses at least say something. BUT, Iggy totally wins based on the videos - Kreayshawn is straight weird, but Iggy is a looker.

I've always thought Iggy is a female Yelawolf straight up. And if you don't know Yelawolf get on your trap game. He's easily the most frightening white guy I've ever seen.

Yelawolf ft. Lil Jon - Hard White

Yelawolf ft. Gucci Mane - I Just Wanna Party

Yelawolf - Pop the Trunk

Show 5: Homecoming

Because there's no way the alumni are having as much fun as you are.

Here it is, the last post until we're finally caught up on the blog! That is, until this weekend, when we'll probably fall behind again. We'll do our best not to though. Here's the track list from the most recent show.

Dear Professor - The Deans List

Focused - Wale ft. Kid Cudi

Blue Jeans (Love Thy Brother Remix) - Lana Del Ray

Pick it Up - Moufy

Princess of China - Coldplay & Rihanna

Bangarang - Skrillex

Niggas in Paris (T.I. Remix) - Jay-Z ft. Kanye West

The Cinema of Valentina - DiBella (ft. Alesso, Benassi, Dune, Journey, & Lady Gaga)

I Belong Here - AlphaBreak

Can't Stop Me Now - Afrojack ft. Shermanology

Lay the Sunshine on Me - JRowe (ft. Avicii, Big Sean, David Guetta, & Kelly Rowland)

Lightwork - Lupe Fiasco ft. Ellie Goulding & Bassnectar

And for the 2398472035 time, the recording software is worthless! However, we have salvaged some usable material from this show, so I'll look to get this up first if possible.

Also, be sure to tune in next week for a Halloween special....it'll get the freaks moving, no pun intended. Listen live Saturday, October 29, from 11:00 AM til Noon on Georgetown Radio.

Show 4: Tuscany Ranch

Because it tasted a lot better last night.

All these posts are going up at the same time, so I guess I don't have to apologize in each individual one for our lack of urgency in getting these up. I worked the sound board a little during week 4, and slept on the couch for the remainder of the time. Preston and E-Money did a great job running things without me though. Here's the track list from that show.

ID2 - Avicii

Put It In Your Manners (DJ 21azy Remix) - Childish Gambino & Chiddy Bang

In My Life - Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso ft. Max'C

Love U More (RAC Remix) - Sunday Girl

Rock N Roll (Will Take You to the Mountain) - Skrillex

Nothing (It's the DJ Kue Remix!) - The Script

Life is Cinema - Macklemore ft. Ryan Lewis

Midnight Run (Flux Pavilion Remix) - Example

It Will Rain - Bruno Mars

1901 (KillaGraham Remix) - Phoenix

If You Want Me to Stay (Brenton Duvall Remix) - Sly and the Family Stone & J. Cole

Believe It - Spencer & Hill ft. Nadia Ali

Once again, problems with the studio recording hardware prevented us from obtaining a usable recording the first time around. We are attempting to re-do and re-record the shows to get them up here however. Be patient....it's a virtue.

Show 3: Your Elderly Neighbors on Prospect Street

Because they honestly had no idea this was a college town.

My deepest apologies to our loyal fans for not having gotten the blog posts for our past few shows up in an even reasonably timely manner. It was that second most dreaded time of the semester (midterms), and many of us got too busy to do much else. Here's the track list for the third show.

Watch the Sun Come Up - Example

Get Your Shit - Wiz Khalifa

Strange Clouds - B.o.B ft. Lil Wayne

Your Love (Reloaded)(Sunrider Remix) - Topmodelz (Originally by the Outfield)

Ghosts N Stuff (Nero Remix) - Deadmau5

Mind of Logic - Logic ft. Camille Gray

Dancing in a Starship - DiBella & Yoni

Need You (Centra Remix) - xKore ft. Zoe & Naomi

Run - The Knux ft. Kid Cudi

Can't Hold Us - Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Ray Dalton

Shake It Out (Benassi Remix) - Florence and the Machine

We Found Love - Calvin Harris ft. Rihanna

We've been having problems with the studio equipment that we use to record our shows, so no promises that we will be able to get all of our shows online.

Show 2: Dayglow

Because whose idea was that?

My apologies for not having this available for everyone's listening sooner. For those of you who know me personally, you know what a "busy" week it has been for me. Show 2 took place the morning after Dayglow and we were lucky to have a special guest in DJ Enclave. Be sure to check out his blog at Stony Beats. Here's the track list from our show this previous weekend including the last song by Drake that we didn't have time to fit in on air. Also, if any links are working, just write so in the comments or send us an email asap and we'll be sure to get it fixed.

Brand New Mac

As I was browsing Mac Miller's wikipedia, I saw that this track was just released today. I youtubed it and watched the music video from Mac's official video channel TreeJTV. I googled the song, and absolutely NOBODY has posted it yet, so I figured I'd go ahead and start getting this one out there. Not the best work I've heard from him, but it's good nonetheless. A lot of the songs Mac has been releasing recently are mixtape quality per se. This song is definitely better and will rightfully be included on his official debut studio album "Blue Slide Park" coming out November 8th. Video and download below.

First Post, First Show

First post of our blog, and we'd like to begin by introducing our radio show. Tomorrow, September 24, 2011, from 11:00 AM to Noon, The Morning After debuts on WGTB, Georgetown University campus radio. To listen to our show, go to GeorgetownRadio.com and click "Listen Live." We just finished our playlist for this week, and I have to say it was hard to narrow our selection down to only 12 songs. However, having done so, we are confident that you will love what we bring to the table.

We'll be broadcasting live every week at the same time and the same place. New songs every week with the rare chance of a repeat if we receive enough positive feedback about any single track. We'll be playing mostly hip-hop and house, but look forward to a good mix overall. Here's a quick sample of a song us three DJs have collectively agreed upon as one of our all time favorites. Check out the music video too, instant classic.
